Let the party begin!

There is a lot of celebrating going on around here come July 4th.  Not only is it he funnest holiday of the year, it's my birthday!

We started out the fun day with the traditional parade.  We decided to brave the crowds of Utah county and see what Provo's parade had to offer.  We usually just go to Layton where we know we'll get a spot.  Luckily we spotted some friends and got to sit with them.

The Olsen family has 4 kids, all the same ages and genders as ours.  The kids always have fun when we're together.

I promised Hailee I'd paint her nails for the holiday and never got to it.  So we did it at the parade.  :)

We couldn't resist these snow cones being sold right behind us.  Who could?  

Not sure why we got Lydia one.... It lasted about 30 seconds before it was dumped. (most of it on me, of course.)
 But she loved it!

Fun time had for all!  We may brave the crowds again some day.
