May and June fun

I made the kids stand at the corner of our house so I could get a picture of our beautiful irises in full bloom.  I love them.
We started wondering if Jeff needed glasses because his eyes seemed to bother him a lot.  Turns out he didn't, but he looked super cute getting his eye exam done!
Lydia got some clothes as a late birthday gift from my sister, MaryLee.  She loved them!  She seriously walked around holding them for 30 minutes after she opened the present.  And she gets excited whenever she gets to wear them.  Definitely a girlie girl...

I decided to try something new and bottled some strawberry and raspberry jam.  After one batch I decided it took too long and reverted back to freezer jam.  So yummy... so delicious!
Jeff lost his first tooth!!!  It seemed like he had to wait forever for this occasion and we were very excited when it happened.  His second tooth came out the next day while we were shopping at IKEA.  He kept trying to get my attention and I kept ignoring him because Richard and I were trying to figure out some things we needed for our house, and the next thing we knew.... Jeff had a tooth in his hand.
We celebrated Father's day with the greatest dad we know!
Rachael doesn't usually take naps these days, but every once in a while she crashes.  This was one of those moments.
I took Lydia in for her one year check up... 2 months late.  We found out there that she had an ear infection and that she possibly had it for a few months without us knowing.  :(  Then she had an allergic reaction to her antibiotics.  Poor girl.  Awful mom.

Isn't this what spring is all about right here?  I love little reminders like this to stop and enjoy the simple things.  This spring seemed especially enjoyable to me.  It seemed that we had perfect weather for almost 2 solid months, which is pretty rare around here.  We spent so much time outside and loved every minute of it.

  1. Cute pictures as usual! So sad about the rash on Lydia! But I love that one of her smelling the flowers!

  2. That is so funny, Noah lost a tooth at Ikea a few months ago, too. I was pulling on it (like I had been for weeks) and it budged shocking all of us. Noah was even mad at me :)
