Our baby

I realize it has been months since my last entry, but what better time to start then with the birth of a new baby? We welcomed our new little sweetheart (I don't have a good screen name for her yet so how 'bout Baby for now?) just a couple weeks ago and what can I say? We love her!
It has been a little bit hard for Rue to see all the baby things coming out, only to be told that they're not for her. We've been letting her enjoy the cradle. . . since our baby won't sleep in it anyway.
Baby was the first of our babies to be whisked to the NICU right after birth. It wasn't too serious, she just needed a little help getting her breathing going right. We didn't get to hold her for 5 hours after her birth, much to our dismay.
Finally. . . we meet. Ah, love at first sight.

Rue was our only child who wanted to hold Baby in the hospital. She gave her this little teddy bear and insisted that she keep it tucked in her blanket with her.
They did, however, bring her presents when they came to pick us up.
She's ready to go!
Luckily, her grandparents just happened to be in town on another errand and were able to meet her while they were here.
I love this. I love how sweet it looks and I love that it means that I got a bit of a break.
Racer, I believe, came to our family because he is the greatest big brother in the world. What more could three little girls ask for? He likes to hold her, but he is just as happy to sit and look at her.
I found Rue in my room one day taking care of her teddy bear. She made him a bed and was sitting here "feeding" him. I have a picture just like this of Ariel after Rue was born. Cute little mommies.
We have a picture of all three of our girls in this dress right here on the couch. I'm not sure why it's become tradition. . . it's not even my favorite outfit of their's, but here it is!
The dress says "daddy's little girl". And this daddy definitely loves his girls.
I love it when they just happened to find the thumb and start sucking away. Cutest thing ever!

I feel bad I didn't post any pictures of Ariel with her. She also loves her and asks to hold her several times a day.

So there you have it! She's here and we love her. She has been such a sweet, content little baby. She hardly ever fusses, has a nice hearty appetite, and seems to love to just sit and take in her surroundings. Our home is a sweeter place because of her. Thanks for coming to our family, Baby!
